「木質系複合材料の社会実装に向けた取組
（産総研ブリッジ・イノベーション・ラボラトリ：BILを通じたシーズ技術の高度化）」

概要：2023年に設置した金沢工大・産総研　先端複合材料BILでは、金沢工大の繊維強化複合材の成形・プロセスと産総研の木質素材の改質・成形プロセスを組み合わせ、“資源循環”や“二酸化炭素の排出削減”に資する革新的技術を創製するための研究開発を行っている。本講演では、活用しているシーズといくつかのプロジェクトの進捗を紹介したい。

「Wood Science and Technology in India: Current Research and Future Perspectives」

概要：Wood has an important role to play in the transition towards sustainable and low-carbon materials. India, with its diverse wood resources and growing wood-based industry, offers significant opportunities for research and technological development in wood science, as well as associated capacity-building programmes.
This lecture will provide an overview of the Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST), Bengaluru, its mandate, research capabilities, and major areas of research and training activities. The current status of wood science and the wood-based industry in India will also be presented, with emphasis on the challenges and opportunities associated with the sustainable utilization and value addition of wood resources.
Selected research activities at IWST will be highlighted. The lecture will conclude with an overview of ongoing collaborative programmes in wood science and technology, along with perspectives on future research directions and opportunities for India–Japan collaboration in research, training, and capacity building.
